Vytvorené na Slovensku (Created in Slovakia) is a new project that unveiled on 27 to 30 August 2015 in Čičmany. The concept comes from the fashion designer Lenka Sršňová and sculptor Nina Šošková. The main objective of the project was to organize unique workshops from which visitors could take their own original souvenir. Inspired by the local traditional theme the organizers created playful "semi-products", which participants freely completed upon their own creativity. Lenka prepared handmade T-shirts, toys and eco-bags with cheerful print of the typical Čičmany roosters, which participants transformed into brightly colored cheerful, but mainly unique pieces. Nina in turn prepared typical magnets popular with tourists with the shape of a rooster or a peacock, key rings or felt brooches.

Both authors have close connection with folk traditions and have applied folk elements or worked with folk themes before. "Our goal is to link art, design and folk culture in attractive and original products. Through workshops we want to work with the public and to highlight the need to return to our roots and folk traditions."
For the residential part of the project the organizers invited a group of five artists and designers who spent a couple of days in the village and turned their impressions and inspirations into artistic output. The first year of the project engaged a graphic designer Eva Tkáčiková, textile designer Michaela Bednárová, font designer Ondrej Jób, architect Katarína Šoltýsová and filmmaker Daniel Dluhý. Each of them had the opportunity to process and respond directly to the environment of the Čičmany village. An integral part of the project were professional lectures and presentations focused on folk traditions, architecture, fashion, art and design.
The next year of the travelling project "Vytvorené na Slovensku" will be held in the Liptov region and the authors will focus on the Gallery of Ľudovít Fulla in Ružomberok.
