In July 2015 Lenka Sršňová nipped out to Bilbao in Basque Country to participate in a creative residency in the local co-working center. The main purpose of the stay was a research of the local fashion scene and textile industry. Supported by contacts from Peopleing agency and the field investigation itself, Lenka managed to meet interesting and inspiring personalities of the local fashion word.
Brands or designers with whom Lenka met, are part of the local fashion industry; each at a different level of business. Stories of large and medium brands operating internationally with productions in China, but also interviews with smaller brands and designers were inspirational and very interesting. Lenka spread her knowledge with a wide range of information related to business, shaping the brand in the market, production and subsequent sales process. Fashion as business, or design and its current status in the clothing business were the main topics of the talks.
In addition to professional activities Lenka also focused on exploring Bilbao, its history, culture, gastronomy and arts. In collaboration with art photographer David Herranz and the girls from Peopleing agency Lenka managed to shoot a cheerful and colorful editorial of the current Colorcode collection. The ancient port of Algorta, characteristic cliffs of the Basque bay, beaches, sea panorama, as well as traditional architecture became space for kick-colored summer collection.

The stay in Bilbao turned out to be very positive in both the professional as well as creative aspect. Inspiring and pleasant environment, artistic as well as industrial character of the city and a professional and friendly approach of the Peopleing agency created a highly productive environment and Lenka enjoyed her stay at full blast.
